Phil Kennedy

Phil Kennedy is a Visiting Professor at Queen Mary University London, is CEO of Nanoforce Technology, and is Senior Innovation Advisor at IKE Group.

As a Visiting Professor to the School of Engineering and Materials Science (SEMS) at QMUL, Phil uses his three decades of industry experience to help the SEMS team in areas including industry-academia liaison and outreach, curriculum reviews, giving guidance on the commercialisation of the School’s innovative research output, and helping prepare the students for the world of work.

Prior to his current roles, Phil was at 3M for 33 years. He joined 3M while he was completing his PhD and it started his passion for new product development. His role as Head of External & Digital Innovation at 3M involved helping the company respond to the digital revolution and build an ecosystem of external collaborators to help drive growth through technology.
